North Wales Housing has invited all NWH residents across Abergele to Caernarfon (including Bangor, Llandudno and Colwyn Bay) to nominate a neighbour who they feel deserves a treat at Christmas.
Residents will be sent a form asking them to provide details of their neighbour including a brief description as to why they believe he/she should enjoy some festive goodies. Up to 12 people will receive hampers at Christmas whilst up to 30 others will also be chosen for their efforts within the community. All 2300 residents are invited to take part in the initiative.
Last year, the NWH Christmas team delivered the presents en masse with Father Christmas, AKA Chief Executive Paul Diggory leading the sleigh, and presenting residents with their gifts and a ‘Thank you for being a Good Neighbour’ certificate.
He said:
Last year was so successful that we’ve decided to launch ’Nominate your Neighbour’ again. We had some great submissions last year and a lot of very worthy people were nominated. We have some fantastic, caring and sharing individuals within our community and it’s important that we celebrate and mark the efforts they make at an important time of the year.”
