Pendinas

local amenities are available. The project is managed by a supportive
and friendly team of workers.

accommodation with a maximum stay of 9 months. A licence is issued
to residents with a possible renewal each month. |

Each resident must have a Key-worker and a support package in place
before moving into Pendinas.
Staff will assist all new residents in applying for Housing Benefit
where applicable to cover rent charges.
A nominal charge, which Housing Benefit does not pay for, shall
be collected from each resident on a weekly basis to cover services
such as gas and electricity.
|
| Aim |
| The aim of the project is to provide temporary
accommodation for single people; and to facilitate move-on to more
permanent accommodation with support as needed by the individual and
to assist the client to settle in and maintain their tenancy.
The staff team work with clients via a personal support plan to
develop life skills, budgeting, healthy living etc and to access
education, training, employment and other community facilities.
The project is staffed on a 7 day, 24 hour basis. Staff at the scheme
are here to assist and advise residents with a variety of problems,
contacting other agencies as necessary, general benefits advice,
assistance with securing alternative permanent accommodation and
applying for
grants/loans, where applicable, for the new accommodation. We have
well established links with a wide range of statutory and voluntary
agencies so if we cannot help, we usually know someone who can.
