| Transfers
The Association can transfer tenants from one property to another,
but there would usually be a good reason for doing this. For example
the property you are living in is either too big for your needs as
your family have all grown up and left, or the house has become too
small and no longer meets your needs.
The Association is not always able to help everyone who needs a
transfer, but we will look at each request individually.
The Association must make the best use of the housing stock as we
can to meet the needs of tenants and applicants who are in the most
urgent need for alternative accommodation.
Before we can consider a request for a transfer
you must have: –
- A clear rent account, or in some circumstances
we will still consider your request if you are maintaining an
agreement to pay off any arrears.
- No
outstanding Rechargeable Repairs.
- No
current breaches of Tenancy Terms and Conditions.
In exceptional circumstance, the Association can consider allowing
a transfer even if these conditions are not met. For further advice,
please contact your Housing officer.
Exchanges
Exchanging houses with another tenant can be a good way to move
to a bigger or smaller house or to move to another area. You can
apply for an exchange with another tenant who is a North Wales Housing
Association tenant, A tenant of another Housing Association or a
Council Tenant. They do not have to live in the areas the North Wales
Housing Association covers.
If you would like to know more about exchanges, please contact your
Housing Officer. |
