Our Homes

North Wales Housing currently have around 2,200 homes, with the majority of these being rented accommodation. Our rented properties are spread across the counties of Ynys Mon, Gwynedd and Conwy, providing both general and supported housing.

We are also committed to providing Low Cost Home Ownership to assist potential buyers to get onto the housing ladder. Low Cost Home Ownership is aimed mainly at:

• people who are unable to afford the full costs of outright ownership
• couples and families looking for their first home, although there is a limited amount of accommodation available for single applicants
• people who are able to obtain a mortgage or have available the capital sum.

As a Housing Association, we receive part-funding from the Welsh Assembly Government to assist with the provision of affordable housing to increase, primarily, our stock of rented properties. These properties are then allocated to applicants on a needs basis.

We are currently working in partnership with Conwy and Denbighshire Councils to:

• bring long-term empty homes back into use
• improve the physical appearance of communities
• increase the supply of affordable housing for local people.

This may be achieved through purchase, leasing or management agreements.
