Supported Housing
North Wales Housing provides over 300 supported housing units for vulnerable people including the homeless, people with drug and alcohol problems, people who experience mental health issues, ex-offenders, people with learning disabilities and young people leaving care.
Many of our projects are managed directly by North Wales Housing and other projects are in partnership with specialist agencies, who provide the care and support to the service user, such as those with learning difficulties.
Our aim with all of the supported housing that we provide, is to give our service users the confidence and know-how to take control of their lives, so that they can find out what options and opportunities are available to them. All service users get
one-to-one support on matters such as accessing jobs and education or health services, and learn life skills - such as cooking and budgeting - that will lead to them maintaining successful, independent tenancies when they move on. People usually live in our supported schemes for a year or two before moving into their own property.
North Wales Housing's supported housing also provide other services such as outreach and resettlement to homeless, supporting young people who are involved with the youth justice service and education and employment services.
North Wales Housing is the established supported housing provider in North West Wales and has been providing homes to vulnerable service users for over 20 years.
