Outreach & Resttlement

The Outreach and Resettlement provide appropriate housing advice for street homeless people, rough sleepers and resettled clients within Gwynedd and Ynys Mon. The team primarily works out of Bangor but are able to provide support to clients across both counties.

The service involves street working (direct contact), and referrals either directly from the client requiring assistance, or from other agencies requesting assistance for their clients. Many issues are regarding benefit claims, health and basic needs such as food and warm clothing/blankets

The staff actively engages with hard to reach clients, offering advice and guidance to those whose lifestyles are so chaotic they do not engage with any other services.

The Outreach and Resettlement Team are available throughout the working week – 9am – 4pm and is accessed either through the area office at Bangor or using the above contact details.

Working with Young Offenders

North Wales Housing/Youth Justice Services Project

This project provides dedicated housing related support to individuals from Gwynedd aged 16 –18, who are engaged with the Gwynedd & Ynys Mon Youth Justice Services. Vulnerable young people are encouraged to tackle, not only their offending behaviour which will be the responsibility of the Youth Justice Services, but other associated and contributory problems connected to accommodation status. The project provides suitable and timely housing advice and support for a specific group of service users, as part of a wider package of provision to meet their needs.

Referrals for the project come directly from the Youth Justice Services.

Support is provided throughout the working week – 9am – 5pm and is tailored to meet the needs of the individuals.
