New Head of Supported Housing Appointed

Osian Elis has been appointed by North Wales Housing as its new Head of Supported Housing.

Osian has over 23 years’ experience in the housing and support sector, having worked across both frontline delivery and strategic development. He joins from Cwmpas, where he worked to support the development of community-led housing.

Osian specialises in developing trauma-informed and psychologically informed approaches, supporting and guiding large teams, managing service budgets, and contributing to national policy.

Osian’s supported housing background includes homelessness prevention and domestic abuse, supporting children, young people, adults, and older people.

Osian said:

“I’m really pleased to be joining North Wales Housing and to be working with such a passionate and dedicated team. Supported housing is more than just accommodation – it’s about walking alongside people, offering the right support at the right time, in a way that respects their autonomy and strengths.

“My vision is to strengthen and grow services that are responsive, trauma-informed, and shaped by the people who use them. I’m passionate about creating spaces where individuals feel seen, safe, and supported – where those delivering support are trusted, valued, and nurtured to make a meaningful impact every day.”

Allan Eveleigh, NWH’s Assistant Director of Communities, welcomed Osian’s appointment and said:

“Osian is highly regarded in the sector, and I’m delighted to have someone with his experience and passion leading our Supported Housing services.

“At North Wales Housing we are extremely proud of the work we do in our Support services.

“We see daily the impact that they have across the communities we work in. With this appointment we are confident that we will be able to build on those excellent foundations, enhancing our services for years to come.”

Osian is also proud to be an advocate of delivering inclusive, bilingual services that reflect the needs of communities across North Wales.
