North Wales Housing provides more new homes in Flintshire
North Wales Housing has welcomed residents to the first nine of its homes on the Hollybrook Estate in Connah’s Quay in Flintshire.
And more new residents of NWH will also move into 50 brand new homes on the site in the coming months.
This is NWH’s second development in Flintshire as it increases its presence in the north east of Wales, reflecting our commitment to providing quality, affordable homes for residents across all of North Wales.
All of the homes have solar panels and have the highest energy rating so they’re sustainable, warm and economical for our residents to run.
Lauren Eaton-Jones, NWH Assistant Director of Development said:
“Our move into Flintshire marks an important step in expanding the reach of North Wales Housing. We’re pleased to be working in partnership with Edwards Homes once again to provide quality, affordable homes for local people.”
New resident, Thomas Lloyd is looking forward to new beginnings after getting the keys to his home. He said:
“I’ve been through a rocky patch over the last few years and this new home is closure on the past. I wasn’t expecting this and it’s great to be settled in a safe and comfortable place.”
At Tara Jenkins’ new home, her kids are super excited that they will finally get their own room, and Tara is looking forward to living in her forever home.
The local mum told us:
“I would like to thank North Wales Housing for giving me the opportunity of being able to put my children in their own rooms. They are growing up so fast and need their own space.
“I can’t believe how beautiful our new home is. And I know for sure this is where I see our future.”
Cathryn and Jeremy O’Donnell are looking forward to a stable and secure tenancy in their home after spending almost two decades in private rented accommodation.
Cathryn said:
“We were in private rented accommodation for 17 years, then our landlord passed away and the house was sold. A friend recommended Tai Teg and North Wales Housing, so we registered for a home.
“This new home means stability for the whole family. The welcome flowers when we arrived were a lovely touch.”
The remaining properties will be allocated to residents on Flintshire’s Housing Register and will also be advertised for affordable rent through our partner, Tai Teg.
