  • Secure Outdoor Items – Bring inside or firmly secure garden furniture, bins, trampolines, ladders, and tools to prevent them from being blown away.
  • Check Doors & Windows – Ensure all exterior doors and windows are properly closed and locked.
  • Park Safely – If possible, park your car away from trees, fences, or buildings that could be damaged in high winds.
  • Close Loft Hatches – Secure any attic or loft trapdoors.
  • Know Your Utilities – Make sure you and your household know how to turn off gas, electricity, and water in case of an emergency.
  • Charge Devices – Keep phones, power banks, and other essential electronics fully charged in case of a power outage.
  • Have Water Ready – Store bottled water in case of supply disruptions.
