North Wales Housing Supports Maes G Showzone in Empowering Youth Through Performing Arts

Maes-G ShowZone is a volunteer-led community youth performing arts company that emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community. Established in 2020, during the Coronavirus crisis, where children and young people had suffered seclusion, decreasing mental health, and low self-esteem, they aimed to bring them together again, to reach for the stars, and grow in a safe and supportive environment.

At North Wales Housing, we recognise the transformative power of the arts in promoting well-being and confidence-building. That’s why we’ve lent our support to Maes G Showzone, assisting them in the development of booklets for their members.

A volunteer from Maes G ShowZone:

“We’re really grateful to NWH for their help in printing this booklet. As over 70% of our members are either diagnosed neurodiverse or are on the pathway awaiting diagnosis, this booklet is going to be so useful to put our members at ease as to what to expect. They will be able to turn to this booklet day or night if they just want to read over it again to gain some reassurance as to what they will see and do once we get to the theatre. This funding is going to make a massive difference to our members.”

We commend Maes G ShowZone for their dedication to fostering a positive environment where young talents can shine, and we look forward to witnessing the positive impact of this initiative in the local community.
