North Wales Housing operates across North Wales and recognises the importance of the Welsh language and culture.
We offer our services in both English and Welsh, and give you the opportunity to select your language when you ring us, as well as provide bilingual newsletters and leaflets etc.
Staff are encouraged to speak Welsh at every opportunity, and the Welsh Language group help encourage this through various activities. Those who can’t speak Welsh are supported to learn by attending courses as well as opportunities to practice during internal ‘Siop siarad’ sessions.
We have developed our own Welsh Language Scheme to explain how we intend to treat Welsh and English language equally. Each year we provide a Welsh Language Monitoring Report to the Welsh Language Commissioner on how well we are delivering our Welsh Language Scheme.
