North Wales Housing welcomes first residents to new homes at Rhosrobin in Wrexham

North Wales Housing Association (NWHA) welcomed new residents to nine turnkey homes at Rhosrobin in Wrexham this morning.

Keys were handed over on Monday to residents of the first phase of 47 newbuild homes at the Rhosrobin site, ‘Llys y Coed’, at Main Road in the village.

Our residents will start moving into their newbuild homes in the coming weeks at the affordable homes scheme, which is part of a partnership between North Wales Housing Association and Castle Green Partnerships.

The 47 affordable homes at Rhosrobin are part of a wider 189-home Castle Green Homes development taking shape across the 39-acre site. They have been provided as part of a development agreement signed earlier this year, with 30 of those homes now completed.

Contracts have also been exchanged for a further 14 homes, six of which are now also complete.

Our residents will be able to enjoy facilities which include a preserved open space, the retention of ancient woodlands for walks and bike trails and a 400sqm play area.

Lauren Eaton-Jones, our Assistant Director of Development, was on site to welcome and greet the first of our new residents.

She said:

“We are delighted to have partnered with Castle Green to provide 61 homes in Rhosrobin, Wrexham, as part of our drive to provide more affordable homes in all six local authorities across North Wales.

We are determined to make a difference for communities across North Wales, providing safe, well- maintained and affordable homes for our residents. Growth and development are extremely important in our vision. These houses are of the highest quality and will be homes that our residents will be proud to live in.

We hope this is just the start of our partnership with Castle Green as we look to work together and deliver homes where they are needed the most.”

Eoin O’Donnell, partnerships director at Castle Green Partnerships, which specialises in building homes for housing associations said:

“Handing over homes under our partnership with North Wales Housing marks a key milestone in what we hope will be lasting and mutually beneficial relationship.”
