Our Community Fund is Open!

North Wales Housing Association (NWHA) today relaunched its Community Fund.

The Community Fund, which was established in 2015, works to provide small sums of financial support towards the development of community-based projects and initiatives based in the counties of Conwy, Gwynedd, and Ynys Mon.

Applications are invited from voluntary, community, recreational or resident organisations and/or groups in Conwy, Gwynedd, Denbighshire, Wrexham and Ynys Mon.

Your organisation or group should be developing community-based projects and initiatives that benefit the local community and our residents. Awards typically range from £25 to £250.

  • Fair

Iwan Evans, Resident Participation Co-Ordinator for North Wales Housing said:

We’re excited to announce the availability of the fund for community groups delivering great work in our communities to the benefit our residents. Please get in touch see if your group or organisation is eligible to apply and how to make an application.”

Previous recipients of the Community Fund have told us how we are helping to make a difference.

At Maes G ShowZone, we helped provide an information booklet for budding thespians who are considering treading the boards.

Co-founder and director, Eirian Williams Roberts, said:

“We’re grateful to North Wales Housing for their help in getting this booklet printed. Over 70% of our members are either diagnosed neurodiverse or are on the pathway awaiting diagnosis so this booklet is going to be so useful to put them at ease as to what to expect.

Now they can turn to the booklet, day or night, if they just want to read over it again to gain some reassurance as to what they will see and do once we get to the theatre. This funding has made a massive difference to our young people.

And it’s all kicking off over at Bangor Saints FC where we provided corner flags at their grounds, where U6s to U17s train and play in a safe environment.

Daf Roberts, an FA Wales Coach of the Year and Coaching Co-Ordinator at the Club, said:

“These new corner flags represent the cornerstone of North Wales Housing and Bangor Saints FC assisting each other in taking care of the young people in our community. We are grateful for the funding received from the Community Fund which helped us replace our old corner flags.”
