Coronavirus and your wellbeing

You may be worried that you have coronavirus. The symptoms are:

  • a new, continuous cough
  • a high temperature
  • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste

Your mental well-being

Your mental health is equally as important during this time. Below are links to a few good resources if you need a little help:

 

Keeping active

It’s still possible to keep active during lockdown. You can use your one exercise time a day to go for a walk, run or cycle for example. Just make sure you’re still socially distancing and keep 2m apart from people outside of your household.

There are also a number of online fitness classes you can do.

 

Keeping children entertained

Many will be trying to juggle working from home and home-schooling. Below are a few ideas to free resources to keep them entertained during their time at home:

  • PE with Joe Wicks on YouTube Weekdays at 9am, but you can watch on YouTube at any time to view the workout (adult workouts also on there if you’re brave!)
  • Wildlife with Steve Backshall on Facebook Every day at 9.30am answering all your wildlife, biology, conservation, geography and exploration questions.
  • Science with Maddie Moate onYouTube Weekdays 11am. Maddie and Greg chat about science and nature.
  • Dance with Oti Mabuse on Facebook Every day at 11.30am, but you can view the class at any time.
  • Maths with Carol Vordeman Free access to her maths website www.themathsfactor.com
  • Music with Myleene Klass on YouTube Twice a week, but can view all anytime on YouTube
  • Storytime with David Walliams Free story every day at 11am on his website www.worldofdavidwalliams.com
