Opening Doors to the Outdoors

The Opening Doors to the Outdoors project has gone from strength to strength and 29 residents have now attended and gained qualifications from the free sessions in climbing, hill walking or canoeing.

The project is a partnership between North Wales Housing, Outdoor Partnership and the Conway Centres Anglesey. It was developed with the aim of giving tenants high quality outdoor activity experiences, with the option of gaining a qualification and improving employment opportunities in the outdoor sector workforce.

Iwan Evans, Tenant Participation Co-ordinator said:

“The project has had a positive impact on the participants. Those taking part have commented how they have improved their fitness, health, and lost weight. Others have also commented how much they have enjoyed meeting other people and new friendships have been formed.”

The next activity is Mountain Biking in September. If you would like to take part in this FREE activity contact Iwan 01492 563232 [email protected]. Places are limited so register your interest now!
