Tenant Fun Day announcement

For the past four years we have held an annual Fun Day which all residents are invited to. This year, following consultation with tenants and staff, we have made the decision not to hold one.

This decision comes after reviewing previous fun days, looking at feedback and listening to views during consultation for the Tenant Participation Strategy. Due to our geographical spread it’s also difficult to find a suitable location that’s suitable for most residents.

What’s going to be happening instead of the fun day?

  • We’ll provide more opportunities for tenants to have their say
  • Smaller, more local events and activities will take place over the whole year
  • Provide advice and support for residents and community groups
  • We’ll support communities that wish to host their own events and activities
  • Provide more opportunities for tenants to improve their skills and access training
  • Offer a Personal Development grant to help tackle financial barriers that may prevent residents from accessing education, training or employment
